VR Contracting has been an idea in the making since I first began my career in the subcontracting side of commercial construction. Our industry plays a vital role in the economy, and its success relies on every party working together. Yet there has always been a clear missing link — one that’s hard to ignore, much like the endless orange cones across Auckland.

That gap is the lack of commercial support available to subcontractors. Without it, project delivery becomes more demanding for Main Contractors, and subcontractors are left without the commercial structure they need to operate efficiently and protect their position.

VR Contracting exists to bridge that gap. Many subcontractors simply don’t have the overhead or capacity to employ commercially astute team members — and that’s where we step in. We provide the commercial support you need, when you need it, without the burden of a full‑time annual expense.

With over 10 years of experience in commercial construction — working as a QS for both Main Contractors and Subcontractors — I bring a perspective that genuinely sets me apart. I understand the pressures, expectations, and commercial realities on both sides of the contract. I am also a registered member of NZIQS and the Society of Construction Law NZ, reinforcing my commitment to professional standards and industry best practice.
